Small Groups Ministry

Develop meaningful relationships with other Christians.

The Small Groups Ministry exists to develop and equip Christ-centered communities for all members and friends of Elmhurst Church. Small groups are essential for experiencing Biblical community, for taking the next step toward becoming more like Jesus Christ, and for finding our place in His Kingdom.

  • A small group consists of 8-16 individuals gathering regularly for Bible study, prayer and fellowship.
  • A small group is where we can practice the one-another commands of Biblical community such as loving one another, encouraging one another and praying for one another.
  • Discipleship, following Jesus, is a lifelong process of submitting more and more of our lives to the Lordship of Jesus. Small groups offer a setting to continue in this process of becoming more like Him.
  • Within a small group, we learn how God loves us, how He has designed us, and how our strengths, talents, and spiritual gifts can contribute to His purposes for our church, our community, and our world as we seek to serve in His Kingdom.
