Looking for young moms! The New Mom Ministry is a ministry that celebrates the birth of a new baby by providing a meal, a gift bag, a phone call from a retired pediatric nurse, and a packet of information that includes a devotional book, helpful health information, and phone numbers of women in our congregation with special expertise related to growth and development of babies and emotions of a new mom. We would love to add one or two new women to the team who have small children and are willing to serve on this team. We meet one to two times per year and the responsibilities are very light. We mostly would appreciate the perspective of a mom with young children so that we stay connected and up-to-date on the current challenges that face young parents and the opportunities to serve them. If you are interested in being a part of the team, please contact Beth Rinsema at 630-279-5516, ext. 219.
