Children's Worship
Children's Worship welcomes children ages 3 through 1st grade to join them in a worship time that includes a Bible story/lesson, singing and prayer. This ministry meets during part of the Sunday morning worship services. The children attend the worship service for about 20 minutes,at which time they are dismissed and then are escorted to their rooms.
Preschoolers are told Bible stories using a variety of methods, such as wood figures or story books. Following the Bible story time the children may choose to retell the story to themselves using the visual materials, or draw a picture about the story or re enforce the story through creative play. Bible story puzzles and books are also available. Preschool children's worship continues throughout the year (including summer) for all children who are 3 years old and not yet in kindergarten.
Kindergarten through 1st grade children learn about God through age appropriate Bible stories and lessons and crafts and singing. Lessons include units on the Ten Commandments, prayer, worship, the church, Advent, Easter, missions, etc. Kindergarten through 1st grade children's worship meets from September to May.
