The Men of our church have a big task ahead of us. We are soon to move into a building that will accomodate many more people. The question is, where will the people come from? Will it be like the movie "Field of Dreams" where the lead character is told to "Build it and they will come". What part will you have in filling our new building with a new church, a greater gathering of God's Kingdom people? 2nd Friday will challenge you to deeper relationship with the Father, with the Son with the Spirit and with one another. 2nd Friday will challenge you to be an active participant in partnering with God as he works through and in us to build His Kingdom. We encourage you to make the time to be at 2nd Friday! See you there.
Here are the logistics:
- The meetings are held in the lower level of our church, on the 2nd Friday of each month from September through May
- We start at 6:30am and conclude promptly at 7:45am.
- A full hot breakfast is provided -- no payment required, a donation basket is available
- Seating is organized into groups of about six men
- We will have a guest speaker or view a short video, followed by small group discussion and time together in prayer.
It is difficult to start and especially to sustain a men's ministry. We are all busy -- overcommitted at work and home. The last thing any of us needs is another meeting. But give this ministry a chance! See if it makes a difference in your life, and if it gives you the opportunity to make a difference in other men's lives. The time has been selected to make it possible for the maximum number of men to attend without infringing on other commitments.
