Financial and Youth Secretary, Director of Child Protection


As the Financial and Youth Secretary, I:

  • Keep track of donations to the church
  • Cut checks and make deposits
  • Work with the deacons, and particularly the Comptroller, regarding church bookkeeping matters
  • Provide secretarial duties for the youth ministry, working with the Student Ministry Director
  • Collect money for youth events
  • Produce flyers and other informational and promotional materials for the youth ministry

 As the Director of Child Protection, I:

  • Make sure that every volunteer who interacts with children in the nursery and in children’s ministries has first completed an application
  • Ensure that the references of every applicant are checked, usually by the ministry directors
  • Am in charge of the committee that looks into any problem and ensures that any incidents are reported to the state. 
  • See that every reasonable precaution is taken to protect children at the church
